How To Take Care of Yourself During Pregnancy

Taking good care of your health and body during pregnancy is important for your and your child’s health. Your body goes through many changes and need proper care in form of nutritious food and some exercise and positive environment for the well-being of the mother and proper development of the baby.

Nutrient rich and Balanced Diet

The food during pregnancy plays a vital role in your child’s development.

-Eat fruits and Vegetables more to get vitamins and minerals from it and healthy carbs from fruits and improve digestion body function.

-Clean carbs like whole bread, Brown rice, oats to get energy throughout the day.

-Eating more protein helps in your baby’s growth cold cuts like fish chicken eggs provide energy and give nutrition to your child and adding dairy products will strength to the bones.

– Removing junk food like processed sugar and fried fast food increase toxins in your body, limiting the intake is suggested.

Take essential supplements and stay active everyday

Some essential vitamins help with your child’s growth and are generally recommended like Iron, Calcium, Folic Acid, etc.

Exercise helps with good circulations and removes toxins and stress from your body, simple exercises like walking, yoga and light stretching is enough. It’s important to just move your body, intense activities and exercises are not recommended.

Sleeping and Stress Management

Getting 7-9 hours of quality sleep is highly suggested to relax the body improve growth, napping during the day is also good.

Managing stress is important as it increases blood pressure and increases bad hormones in the body, reading, meditating or any calming activity is good for the mother.

Consuming Alcohol and smoking are strictly not recommended at all during pregnancy at damages both mother’s and child’s health. It is recommended to discuss with your doctor before taking any medications as it can be bad for your baby.
